Our Story

SochWorks offers specialized consulting for brands looking to enhance their digital capabilities in key areas of their business. We focus on helping brands achieve strong business alignment as a first step in any engagement along with a rigorous and thorough discovery and requirements gathering phase at the start of each project.

With over 25 years in digital marketing, below is a bit of an origin story below about how SochWorx came to be.

My name is Patrick Soch, and I am the founder and principal consultant at SochWorx. 

I started my digital marketing career in the fall of 1999 at a small and growing online travel company called Bid4vacations.com. We were an online auction site for travel packages. Someone figured out I knew how to write, was a good problem solver, and had great research skills from my academic background. One day the CMO handed me a company credit card and asked me if I wanted to learn and manage this new thing: ppc advertising. Little did I know that managing a $100/day budget in a new search engine called Overture would lead to a 25+ digital marketing and digital analytics career.

 

In my early digital marketing roles, I experienced the dot-com bubble bursting, 9/11 and its aftermath completely tanking the travel industry (including online travel), the 2008 recession, and all of the scrappy innovation and impressive successes over the last two and a half decades accompanied by no shortage of shiny objects no longer on anyone's radar.

Since that early initiation into digital marketing, I have managed multi-million dollar paid search campaigns, overseen advanced multi-channel marketing programs for luxury and premium brands, have managed Google Ads accounts with 1 million+ keywords for one of the largest Hotels.com affiliates, and have designed and implemented digital analytics measurement solutions for Fortune 100 companies in my roles with leading global Google Marketing Platform (GMP) resellers.

This journey has brought me to Dubai, Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Cairo, London, Istanbul, and all over the United States. I learned a long time ago that this industry is about people: your customers, your potential customers, your colleagues, your peers, your competitors. I work hard to steer my clients and colleagues away from being mystified by data and KPIs and to focus on the people and the stories that live behind that data. Keeping people at the forefront and delivering exceptional experiences, putting great creative and messaging in front of consumers at the right time, showing up in relevant contexts with relevant content, all shows up in your numbers, especially when you focus on the right numbers.
